Privacy Policy — DMV Practice Test 2026: Permit Prep

Last updated: July 10, 2026

This privacy policy applies to the Android application DMV Practice Test 2026 — Permit Prep (the “App”), package name com.ionplay199.dmvpracticetest. The App is an independent study tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any government agency or Department of Motor Vehicles.

SUMMARY

– The App works fully offline and requires no account, no sign-up, and no personal information.
– Your study progress (test scores, mistakes, selected state, theme) is stored only on your device and never leaves it.
– The App shows ads served by Google AdMob; AdMob may process device data as described below.
– We do not collect, sell, or share personal data ourselves.

DATA STORED ON YOUR DEVICE

The App saves the following data locally on your device only: your selected US state, theme preference, practice-test scores, mistake history, and mastery progress. This data is never transmitted to us or to any third party by the App, and it is deleted when you clear the App’s storage or uninstall it. You can also reset it anytime from Settings → Reset progress.

ADVERTISING (GOOGLE ADMOB)

The App displays advertising provided by Google AdMob, a service of Google LLC. Like most advertising SDKs, AdMob may collect and process certain information automatically, which can include:

– Device information (model, operating system version, screen properties)
– Advertising ID (a resettable identifier provided by Android)
– IP address and coarse (approximate) location derived from it
– Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks) and diagnostic data

This information is processed by Google according to its own policies:

– How Google uses data from partner apps: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites
– Google Privacy Policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy
– AdMob developer policies: https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543

You can reset or delete your device’s Advertising ID in Android’s settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads).

CONSENT (GDPR / US STATE PRIVACY LAWS)

Where required by law (for example, in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, or certain US states), the App shows a consent dialog powered by Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) before any ads are requested. Your choice determines whether ads may be personalized. You can review or change your choice at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the App (this entry appears when consent management applies in your region). If you decline consent where it is required, the App remains fully usable.

CHILDREN

The App is a driving-exam study tool intended for people preparing for a learner’s permit or driver license (typically age 15 and older). It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests are configured through Google’s consent and content-rating tools; if you believe a child has used the App and any information requires deletion, please contact us.

PERMISSIONS

The App requests network access solely to load ads and the consent dialog, and the Android AD_ID permission for AdMob. It requests no camera, microphone, location, contacts, or storage permissions.

DATA SHARING AND SELLING

We do not sell personal data. We do not share personal data with third parties, other than the automatic processing performed by Google AdMob described above, which is necessary to display ads that keep the App free.

DATA RETENTION AND DELETION

Because study data exists only on your device, deleting it is entirely in your control: use Settings → Reset progress in the App, or clear the App’s storage / uninstall the App from Android settings. For data processed by Google, see Google’s privacy controls at https://myadcenter.google.com

CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

If we change this policy (for example, when adding new features), the updated version will be posted at this address with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will be reflected in the App’s store listing as well.
